For anyone who missed Imani Henry&#039;s powerful speech at the USSF plenary on gender and sexuality, part of it was about the Jersey 4, the young Black lesbians who were sentenced in June to years in prison for defending themselves. He put the case into its political context of gentrification, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and capitalism.

He also urged that FIERCE not be left alone in working on this important case. FIERCE is asking for assistance for these young women, including pro-bono legal support, media contacts and writers, pen pals, financial support, and diverse organizational support.
